The Fourth Generation of Artificial Grass is Coming

50 years ago, artificial turf originated in the United States. Originally, it was used in the football field, and then was popular in other sports venues. As the huge space, football field becomes an important battlefield. Football artificial grass has gone through four stages.

The first generation of soccer artificial grass regarded the PA(nylon) as main ingredient. It has good wear-resisting, but the elasticity was poor with expensive price. As football grass, it was easy to injure the skin.

The second generation of soccer artificial grass is PP(polypropylene) as main ingredient. As raw material, it is softer than the nylon, which has the stronger plasticity, but the lower price. However, the wear-resisting of this kind of artificial grass is worse, and need to fill with quartz particles.

The main material of third generation of football artificial lawn is PE. The yarn is soft, good wear-resisting. The quartz sand and rubber particles can fill the grass. It looks like natural grass in appearance and sports performance.

The forth generation football artificial lawn is a major innovation based on the traditional lawn. It refers to the no-fill football lawn system. This grass put away the quartz and rubber particles, but still has the sports and protection performances.
